Immersed in the Modican countryside, this 1900s stone villa has been brought back to life through a renovation project that combines authenticity, functionality, and style. Covering over 200 square meters, the home has been redesigned to meet the needs of a young couple, reflecting a bold yet balanced aesthetic inspired by rural charm and a soft industrial taste.

The renovation began with a phase of demolition and spatial redefinition. Today, the property is divided into two areas: the main residence and a future B&B with a separate entrance. At the heart of the home lies the kitchen-living area—an open, fluid space of over 80 square meters that also includes a comfortable smart working zone. Like in traditional homes, a wood-burning fireplace serves as both a symbolic and functional centerpiece of domestic life.

The kitchen opens into the living area via a peninsula that draws the eye toward the dining zone, anchored by a large solid wood and iron table. A TV and sofa area completes the living space, designed for easy, comfortable conviviality.

The master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with a whirlpool tub, a shower, and a striking freestanding sink with a suspended mirror. The house also includes a second bedroom and a practical, well-integrated laundry bathroom.

Outside, Modica stone tells the story of the building’s heritage, while splayed portals designed to frame the openings add a contemporary touch, making the façade unique and recognizable.
